Cimarrones, located just under three hours from the Costa Rican capital of San Jose, is a traditional laid-back Costa Rican town. The town is an attractive location for international tourists and many locals are employed in the tourism industry in the surrounding volcano national parks of Turrialba and Irazú. However, they need to be able to fulfill the English language skills required by local employers.
Interns have the chance to assist with English activities, including childhood development projects, individual English classes for students who require additional academic assistance. You will also be contributing to UN SDG, #5, Gender Equality, by assisting us with setting up our women’s empowerment program in the area. The program focuses on supporting English language education for women as well as assisting with entrepreneurial facilitation.
